At Peace of Mind we love heat! One form of heat therapy we offer is Hot Stone Therapy. We preheat smooth basalt stones in water inside a roasting heat mechanism. Once they reach a temperature no higher than 130 degrees we place them on the client's body in different spots depending on how the client is feeling that day. Here at Peace of Mind, we don?t believe in using the same routine every time. We customize the massage to fit your needs. The stones are also used by the Massage Therapist to massage the muscles. The muscles will become relaxed from the pressure and circulation improved because of the heat. It is a great combination and can create a great mental relaxation for the client. Various shapes and sizes of stones will be used for different parts of the body. It is important to give feedback if the stones are too hot.
